SUMMARY:Video Camp for Girls+
DESCRIPTION:Video Camp for Girls+ is a 2-week Summer Camp program that provides youth aged 13-17 with hands-on video production training. Topics include camera and audio basics\, shooting techniques\, lighting techniques\, and an introduction to video editing in DaVinci Resolve. Participants will learn how to handle equipment\, set up for video shoots\, and will work together in small groups to produce short videos that will be screened at the end of the 2-week program. \nWomen\, girls\, gender non-conforming people\, and non-binary youth are often overlooked in the field of filmmaking\, and this program aims to break this stereotype. We therefore encourage registration from trans\, non-binary\, and gender non-conforming youth.

DESCRIPTION:Asinabka Film & Media Arts Festival\n– The Spirit Awakens –\nAugust 8-13\, 2023\nOAG • SAW • G101 • Berlin Nightclub\n\nThe 12th annual Asinabka Festival is excited to present the best contemporary Indigenous film\, music\, and arts from Canada and around the world. The Festival takes place in person over 6 days with indoor and outdoor film screenings\, a curated art exhibition\, and a music showcase. Our schedule includes 18 separate film programs\, including 6 feature length films\, and over 50 short films\, representing over 10 different countries.\n\n* Tickets and Passes on sale Now\n* Full schedule available on the festival website\n\nAsinabka Festival is an Indigenous-run organization located in Ottawa on the unceded and un-surrendered territory of the Algonquin Nation. Our festival is open and inclusive to all attendees\, everyone is welcome\, but all guests and staff are expected to act with respect for one another.
