SUMMARY:Stories of Resilience
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fundraiser event\, “Stories of Resilience” in solidarity with Sudan\, Congo and Palestine on April 28\, 2024 at 2:00 PM at 2391 Pepin Court. Open to anyone who wants to come together in community\, to honour the resilience that the Sudanese\, Congolese\, and Palestinian people have had to find to survive\, and do what we can to support them from where we are.\n\nThis event will include a silent auction\, raffle\, light refreshments\, and performances (poetry\, music\, storytelling) on the theme of resilience.\n\nWe will be collecting donations\, which will be split equally between the three groups via legitimate and verified organizations. PWYC at the door\, suggested donation 15$. 100% of funds going to:\n\n\nSudan: Brana Hanbanihu Youth Organization\n(https://bit.ly/4ain5FY)\n\nCongo: Friends of the Congo\n(https://bit.ly/3J0jbG3)\n\nPalestine: Palestine Children’s Relief Fun\n(https://www.pcrf.net/)\n\nWhere: 2391 Pepin Court\, Red Barn\nWhen: April 28\, 2024 from 2:00 PM.\n\n\n~Transportation/Parking~\nBus route 25\nFree but limited parking on site\nCarpool encouraged!\n\n\n~Facilities/Accessibility~\nThe event will take place in English.\nThe space is accessible by stair and elevator. Note the ground around the building is gravel.\nComposting gender-neutral toilets\, one larger stall\, no handrail.\nChairs without arms.\nNo heat/AC – if a cooler day\, please bring warm clothes\, blankets.\nFacemasks are welcome but not mandatory. Before attending\, please do a self-assesment of your health. If you are experiencing any symptoms of any communicable virus or illness\, please do not come.
