Join us for a screening of Cradle Will Rock (1999), a star-studded feature film about art and power in the 1930s.
On June 6, join the Education for Liberation Collective for a screening of the gripping feature film Cradle Will Rock!

This event is taking place within the context of the exhibition Art is a Weapon: Revolutionary and Antifascist Posters from Spain 1936-39, on at Gongfu Bao Restaurant, 365 Bank Street, until June 20.
About the Film: Cradle Will Rock (1999) tells the story about the creation of Marc Blitzstein’s radical, pro-union musical “The Cradle Will Rock” in 1930s New York City. Featuring a star-studded cast and thrilling music, the film explores the role of art in inspiring revolution and confronting capitalist and imperialist oppression.

– The main accessible entrance and ramp is at 290 Lisgar Street on the north side of the building.
– A second emergency exit and accessible ramp is located at 355 Cooper Street on the south side of the building.
– There is elevator access to all four levels of the building.
– Onsite parking is available, and the venue is easily accessed by public transit
