ACORN’s Renoviction Bylaw Consultation with City Staff
Landlords in Ottawa are kicking out long-term tenants under the false excuse of “renovations”— just to jack up the rent. That’s a renoviction! Thanks to tenant organizing by ACORN members across the province, Ottawa is finally developing a bylaw. So, to make sure this bylaw protects us where it counts, ACORN is consulting with the City on October 30th at 6PM.
