Don’t Let Them Destroy Public Health Care

“This is unequivocally the biggest threat to our single-payer, universal Medicare system we’ve ever seen. Not just for Albertans, but for all Canadians.” – Friends of Medicare. The Danielle Smith government has passed a new law to bring down single-tier Public Medicare and bring in U.S. private health care and insurance. In Ontario, Doug Ford is privatizing our public hospitals’ services at an unprecedented rate while allowing private clinics to charge patients thousands of dollars for needed care.
With health coalitions across the country, we are calling on federal Liberal MPs to stand up to them, enforce the Canada Health Act, and save public health care. This is just the first set of actions in our fightback.
