Harmony Circle for Palestine

May 13 @ 6:30 am - 8:00 pm

free

World-Changing Kids is proud to host the third Harmony Circle for Palestine on May 13, Monday, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

“Join us for a conversation about Palestine, between Spiritual Advisor and Elder Albert Dumont and Moriel Rothman-Zecher, an American-Israeli writer, poet, and novelist. Born in Jerusalem, Moriel graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in Arabic and political science.

Moriel is the author of the beautiful book, “Sadness is a White Bird“. The lives of the characters in this book are framed by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Jonathan, a young Jewish Israeli, is excitedly preparing to enlist in the Israeli army, but when he meets and befriends Palestinian siblings Nimreen and Laith, the clarity he once felt about his future choices begins to crumble. Political context and history weigh heavily on all three characters as they seek to form relationships across “opposite” sides of the same conflict.”

Please share amongst your friends and neighbours, as this conversation promises to be another Circle where we learn, reflect, and take action to build peace. We are needed to build peace, not only in Israel and the Occupied Territories but we are needed to build peace in our own city, province, and country.
