Bubble By-law Public Delegation Workshop
On April 17, the “bubble” bylaw will be voted on by the Joint Emergency Preparedness and Protective Services and Public Works and Infrastructure Committee, and we need to make sure councillors fully understand all of the consequences before making their decisions.
Any form of a bubble bylaw will have a chilling effect on dissent, and there is nowhere near enough evidence of protests causing real harm to justify cracking down on freedom of expression and freedom of assembly.
